Obeying Christ through Preaching the Gospel, Discipleship and Worship

Our church exists to proclaim the gospel of Christ as the power of God for salvation (Romans 1:16), to nurture believers into faithful disciples, and to equip them to make disciples of all nations (Matthew 28:19-20). We are devoted to worshiping God in spirit and in truth (John 4:24), building a Christ‑centred community marked by love, service, and obedience to His Word.

Meet our pastor

Pastor John Khng

The ministry began in 1979 as a Sunday School in Bro. John Khng’s Marsiling HDB flat. Together with his wife, Bethany, and fellow believers, he reached out to the neighbourhood and helped establish Faith Independent Baptist Church in 1983.

After completing theological training at Bob Jones University, Pastor Khng returned to Singapore and later planted Mount Calvary Baptist Church in 1993. MCBC was registered in July 1994, and he continues to serve faithfully as its pastor.
