Amplifier

The function of the amplifier is to reproduce a soft voice to a loud clear voice. In the Old Testament age, Moses did not have an amplifier; how could he speak to the Israelites? “And Moses said unto the people, Fear ye not, stand still, and see the salvation of the LORD, which he will shew to you to day: for the Egyptians whom ye have seen to day, ye shall see them again no more for ever. The LORD shall fight for you, and ye shall hold your peace” (Exodus 14:13-14). When Jesus was speaking to a big group of people, he did not have any amplifier as well. “The same day went Jesus out of the house, and sat by the sea side. And great multitudes were gathered together unto him, so that he went into a ship, and sat; and the whole multitude stood on the shore. And he spake many things unto them in parables, saying, Behold, a sower went forth to sow; …And they that had eaten were about five thousand men, beside women and children” (Matthew 13:1-3a, 14:21) How was Jesus able to speak to all of them? The Bible recorded that they were able to hear Him clearly.
Some say that it was due to the help of echo that so many people could hear a human voice together. But echo usually makes the voice difficult to listen to especially for a long message. Some say they are like the parade commander who shouts a command for the entire army of soldiers to listen to his instructions. But it is not possible to speak a lengthy message in this way. The speaker will lose his voice. I believe it is a miracle although many people do not notice is. God can easily speak to the individual, but at times chooses a leader to speak for Him and He always helps to “amplify” the message too. Peter’s first sermon during the day of Pentecost is another example, “But Peter, standing up with the eleven, lifted up his voice, and said unto them, Ye men of Judea, and all ye that dwell at Jerusalem, be this known unto you, and hearken to my words… Then they that glady received his word were baptised: and the same day there were added unto them about three thousand souls” (Acts 2:14, 41). Peter had no electrical amplifier too but he himself was the “amplifier” for Jesus. He “amplified” that God had sent his Beloved Son, Jesus Christ, who died for us and was resurrected on the third day.

Today, Christian organisations have the privilege of an electrical amplifier for mass communication. The amplifier helps the preacher to easily preach his messages to the listeners clearly. It enables even a very soft voice to be heard by many others. The important function of an amplifier is that it helps many listeners to be able to hear the words and works of God. Do make use of the electrical amplifier now and share your blessings so that fellow believers may know Him better. Do not hesitate as “One blessing shared is equal to double the blessings.” Will you be an “amplifer” for Jesus? Amplify the gospel of salvation to the lost souls around you. Amplify the Lord’s blessing to you. Amplify the still small voice that has been constantly speaking to you so that others will know the Lord Jesus Christ better.

Amplifier
A small beginning usually has a big ending. Speak little but speak the truth.
