Life is a Psalm (Song, Hymn) of Praise
by Pastor John Khng
Scripture Reading: Psalm 100: 1-5
(A Psalm is a sacred song or hymn)
Introduction:
Chinese New Year is a time to wish each other happiness – Is this the only time in the year where we feel happy or shouldn’t we be happy all the time, every day of our life? One of the Devil’s lies is “When you become a Christian, you can no longer be happy” because you have to give up the things you like to do and do the things you do not like to do. You cannot be happy without God but Satan wants us to be happy without God. Christians are happy because he has God. Christian living is characterized by Singing, Serving & Thanksgiving.
I. Singing to the LORD with Joy – Ps. 100:1
II. Serving the LORD with Gladness – Ps. 100:2-3
III. Giving Thanks to the LORD with Praise – Ps. 100:4-5
Reasons for the Three Exhortations To Sing, To Serve and To Give Thanks – Ps. 100:3 & 5
Scripture Reading: Psalm 100: 1-5
